Kai's journey into the world of Tiki began with a single Mai Tai at a dusty vintage bar in San Francisco. Fascinated by the complexity of the flavors and the immersive escapism of the culture, he dedicated himself to mastering the lost arts of Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic.

Over the last decade, Kai has traveled to the Caribbean to study rum production firsthand, amassing a personal collection of over 300 rare rums. He believes that a great Tiki drink is more than just ingredients; it's a vacation in a glass, a carefully orchestrated symphony of rum, citrus, spice, and atmosphere. When he's not mixing drinks, you can find him carving his own Tiki mugs or scouting for vintage aloha shirts.
